October 15, 2002Tools4Media, Inc. and Competent Technologies, Inc. announce the sale of encompass:ews, an Enterprise Workflow Server to The Washington Times in Washington, DC.
encompass:ews is a content collection and management system that both automates and centralizes the intake, translation, routing and storage of electronic communication across all departments over multiple systems. The encompass:ews suite of products builds upon the proven solution FaxAction, installed at over 20 newspapers in the United States. The product has been both expanded and modularized to allow sites the flexibility to add individual solutions as needs arise. The encompass:fax and encompass:mail modules are the first components now being installed at The Washington Times and interface to their new advertising system from Atex Media Solutions.
“We chose encompass:ews because of the flexibility it offers us. Initially because of the Fax management capabilities and ultimately, the ability to manage other communications and advertising services”, said Jack Ross, Assistant Classified Ad Manager for The Washington Times. “We are very impressed with the ability of encompass:ews to link our key internal databases, internal workflows and fax and e-mail servers to optimize our internal processes.”
“We are excited about providing a quality workflow server to The Washington Times.”, says Frank Loversky, President and Founder of Tools4Media. “We’ve enjoyed working with the people at the paper, and the Atex staff as well. It’s been a very positive experience.”
